Drucilla E. Bell can assist you with any Immigration situation.  If you find yourself with a new alien son-in-law or you need to import foreign specialty workers for you factory, or a foreign relative finds himself in deportation litigation, our firm can meet all of your needs.  If you need to obtain a visa for a key corporate executive from Taiwan to come and give some technical direction to a new American branch of an international company, we can help you.

The Firm has handled a variety of immigration matters, and is ready to tackle whatever your immigration situation may be.  We have defended clients against removal, successfully obtained labor certifications for immigrant workers, and have secured political asylum for those politically oppressed in their home country.  Ms. Bell was one of the first to obtain political asylum for a Brazilian who was mercilessly persecuted and threatened with death for his sexual preference.

We can also assist in processing glitches or delays.  If your application seems to be taking longer than anybody else's or your sister's application has gotten lost in the US Embassy in the Philippines, call us.

Family immigration situations are handled on a regular basis, and we are experienced representing clients in complicated and circuitous cases.  We secure legal permanent residency and assist clients through the citizenship process, taking appeals when necessary to show that the law has been misapplied or misinterpreted.   We also advise those seeking citizenship of historical events that must be clarified or corrected because of changes in the law that would cause them to be deported instead, what we refer to now as "criminal immigration" and "deportation litigation."

Having done business immigration for many years, we have seen the changes in the Immigration and Naturalization Act  and the severe bureaucratic changes caused by placing everything under the Department of Homeland Security.  The new complications have turned many attorneys away from this area of practice.   We continue to assist both employers and workers in conquering the new PERM processing (labor certification), essentially making the system work for them.  The Firm is accustomed to handling special corporate situations, as well as special family situations and has contacts in many parts of the world to provide that special care to a personal or professional problem.

Ms. Bell is active in the American Immigration Lawyers Association and regularly interfaces with the U.S. Senators and Congressmen and keeps apprized of the impact of new immigration legislation on businesses.  We also regularly interface with the Chief Bureaucrats at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Ms. Bell has secured the setting aside of a cocaine conviction for a Jamaican client and he has become a Legal Permanent Resident. More recently, she has worked with another AILA member in filing suit against the Department of Homeland Security for a gross delay in naturalization - more than 120 days, and in less than a year, he was sworn in as a US Citizen.
