     Laurence D. Gore became a member of the Florida Bar in 1978 and opened the doors of his first office as Laurence D. Gore PA in 1979.  Mr. Gore graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, with a BA and obtained his JD degree from Nova Southeastern University.  He has spent considerable time in advanced courses having studied at SMU's branch campus in Madrid, Spain and Nova Southeastern University programs at Oxford University and The Hague.  Mr. Gore has been extensively involved in international law for many years, serving as a legislative liaison in Washington, D.C.  He has served in many capacities with the Florida Bar International Law Section, including as its Chairman and representative to the International Bar Association, at conferences around the globe, and founder of the Travel Law Committee.  

     Mr. Gore was appointed by the Secretary of State as one of the first International Civil Law notaries in Florida and the United States.  He was chosen to serve on the Florida Counsel of international Development in 1995, a position which he holds today.  He was appointed by the International Law Section to represent the bar at the Organization of American States Conference in Ft. Lauderdale in June of 2005 and is a Florida Supreme Court certified Arbitrator.  He is also a member of the Real Property and Probate Law Section of the Florida Bar and Attorney's title Fund.

    Mr. Gore has been extensively involved in the practice of travel and tourism law having written numerous articles and publications including creating the first travel law course and textbook (Travel Industry Law) for Nova Southeastern University where he served as adjunct professor.  He also taught travel industry law at the Art Institute in Fort Lauderdale.  He has spoken on International Law and Tourism Law topics all over the world, including China, Syria, Cuba, Russia, France, and Mexico, and on numerous Seminars at Sea programs with the Florida Bar.  He has served as house counsel for numerous tour companies and travel agencies and is an allied member of ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents) and a director of IFTTA (International Forum of Travel and Tourism Advocates).   He recently published "Cruise Don't Lose", a guide to cruise line legal issues for the layman, obtainable through this website.  He has represented the City of Ft. Lauderdale and the Florida Bar on trade and legal missions to China, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, the United Kingdom, France, Turkey, Argentina and Germany.  He is the travel law "on air" consultant for the local ABC television affiliate in Miami.

    Mr. Gore actively represents individuals and corporations in areas of consumer fraud and timeshare regulations.  He chaired the panel on "Legal Issues in Timeshares" in Marbella, Spain, for the joint meeting of the International Bar and American Bar Association conference.  He has further assisted many corporations in expanding their offices internationally and also assisting foreign companies with developing business in US locations.

    Mr. Gore is a Florida State Commissioner and Vice-Chair of the Hillsboro Inlet District.  He has served on the Fort Lauderdale Aviation Advisory Board, the Budget Advisory Board, and as President of Sister Cities of Ft. Lauderdale.  He has traveled the globe extensively on trade and good will missions representing the city of Ft. Lauderdale.  He is Director and Vice-Chair of the Ft. Lauderdale Council of the United States Navy League.  He has also served his community for many years in various capacities, including President of residential associations and Commodore of Yacht Clubs.  Mr. Gore is co-founder of Seminars at Sea Travel, Inc., which conducted professional educational seminars for international associations, both at sea and on land.
